Charles Yates Fine Art

Sarasota, FL

My life long goal is to be an artist.

The works of the Old Masters, American Artists, Illustrators, French Impressionists and many of today's artists inspire me.

I try to convey my sense of place and impression of the observable world.

Representational works and abstract images are achieved by experimenting with materials and techniques.

I completed the Famous Artists Schools Course in Commercial Art, Illustration and Design.

Art mediums over the years have been pen and ink, pencil, pastel, charcoal, ink wash, acrylic, oils and watercolor. Subjects have been portraits, abstracts, caricatures, still life and Florida coastal scenes. My paintings are in private collections.

I have exhibited paintings at The Sarasota Visual Arts Center, Sarasota Art Association, Gallery 41, Siesta Key Gallery, Roundabout Gallery, Selby Public Library, Paradox Gallery and Karchelle's in Sarasota, Pass-A-Grill Art Colony in St. Petersburg Beach, Two Cranes Gallery in Venice, Beauty Shared Gallery in Deland. Entered juried shows at the former Sarasota Art Association.
